Cobyrhjhta rerred Ur ELctJrILLCi8 ) The great EdwArds estate is hearing a completion The amount involved aggregates many hundred millions, and includes some of the most Valuable property in New York City and Aber deen, Scotland. This property has been the source of a great deal of anx iety to the different branches of the Edward family, many of whom have been engaged the greater part of their lives to obtain possessi6nof their vast estate. Some of them are now trrav- headed men and women, and many of I . .... "i war to be had, killing and robbing his neighbors for no other reason than to 'feather his own nest." nis principal line of attack was upon the commerce between France and Canada. At that time a merchant ship could hardly cross the stormy Atlantic in less than four months, and It was an easy mat ter for Edwards to capture a prize every time he crossed the ocean. Ship from his side brought tea, sugar and coffee to Kcw Amsterdam (New York) from which point their cargos were car ried overland to different parts of the country; tho sh:ps returning were lad en with furs, tobacco and rum. When ing fm a contest for the Governor ship ,of Nebra-ka, has Wen advanced on the docket of the U. S. Supreme Court, and the first Monday in Dec ember has been atlgned for its area meat. This is the way a personal friend wtio is a frequent and welcome s,chl visitor at the White House saks of Mr. Harrison. There are many conjectures as to the original owner of this property.
